I got my toes in the water....ass in the sand...not a worry in the world...a cold beer in my hand...life is good today...life is good today...

Well this is the first blog that I am posting. I feel kinda weird writing my thoughts down for people to read. But here goes. I am bartender and I have a unique job in that I get to meet people that in the real world I probably wouldn't had the opportunity to know. Some of them are truly great people and some of them are just plain crazy. Sometimes the crazy ones are way more fun though...ha ha ha

I went to the bruins game today with my husband. It was a great game lots of fights and some great hockey playing. O and they won let's not forget the most important part. Anyway as we were driving in to the Garden...BTW it's not the old garden it's great to watch a game but it doesn't yet have the history or the character of the old Garden...anyway we drove past this man who was waving people into a parking area. He was waving the flag and talking to people walking by. He was clearly not a rich man and my husband asked me how much do you think he gets paid to do that job...I said probably about 5o bucks a game. He said and he's loving life right now...and I thought you know what he probably is...
when we entered the parking garage, I saw an attendant standing there doing the same job that the not so rich man was doing, except the difference was that he looked clearly annoyed. I thought to myself how can he not appreciate having a job right now.....Strange how people are different....

Michelle, I'm so glad to see your blog! And no, it does NOT make you OLD!

We watched the Bruins fight...um, game..down at Sidelines today. I'm for the guy in the parking lot with the flag...maybe I can get a job like that some day! :)

Welcome to the world of blogging! I think you are so right - that guy was having a great time just greeting all the people. That is worth so much!

A blog. I like blogs. As far as the 2 attendants. You never know what is going on in other peoples lives. The happy attendant, might be happy with his job and/or maybe there r other things goin on in his life that fuels his happiness. A good wife, healthy kids, a good joke he heard earlier, just examples. Where as the other guy might not be happy with his job or he is happy but other circumstances in his life weigh him down and bring him below the level of happiness. Such as a bad wife, unhealthy kids, or a speedin ticket he got on the way to work. U just never know. All we have is our perception of things unless we know the absolute truth. I guess it comes down to your choice, to be happy or angry. Some people, even in the face of certain death are always happy. Then some could have everything in the world, money, a home, a healthy family and still not be happy. Its all a choice. U don't even know for sure if they were rich or not, chances r they weren't, but, do u know for sure. Not unless u ask. Its hard not to judge people. Its a natural act. The bible says we shouldn't (matthew 7:1), but its just natural. We look at things for what they are. Within miliseconds we look, we gather info, we sort it out, evaluate, then decide/judge/label. Often we r correct inour assumptions but often we r not. Spiritual or enlightend people, look without seeing and listen without hearing... anyways sorry for the rant. But like I said I like blogs. Keep it going
